UZ plans to extend the main railway move for Mariupol is 1.5 times to the fall of 2017

Ukrzaliznytsia expects to autumn 2017 to increase the capacity of the driving of the Volnovakha – Kamysh-Zarya in the direction of Mariupol to 42 pairs of trains per day. This was announced by the head of the Supervisory Board of ULTRASONIC, the first Deputy Minister of infrastructure Evgeny Kravtsov.
“I hope that within three to four months, to the horizon of summer, we will be able to reach these numbers (42 pairs of trains per day). Now working on this project, have already started to run it,” – said Kravtsov in an interview at the international conference “Ukrainian Railways: development and investment” in Kiev Tuesday, April 18.
The Deputy Minister said that we are talking about freight and passenger trains together. “If now 27-28 pairs of trains along with the passenger, I hope that we can raise this figure up to 42 pairs of trains maximum,” he said.
Moreover, the head of the Supervisory Board of ULTRASONIC announced that last year’s expansion of the stretch Kamysh-Zorya – Volnovakha is not enough. “Steelmakers still deliver raw materials to the cabotage Mariupol”, – he said.
